Here's the INEOS Grenadiers report:
British champion Tom Pidcock rebounded well from his eighth place ride on Boxing Day, and was in the thick of the podium battle from the opening lap.
Pidcock found himself in a three-man group consisting of Eli Iserbyt and Quinten Hermans, with Wout Van Aert pushing clear on lap two to build up an unassailable lead.
Tom Pidcock & Eli Iserbyt fight for second place.
With Hermans distanced, Pidcock rode well to keep on the wheel of Iserbyt, staying close to the Belgian off the final descent and out-sprinting his rival at the line.
With a fourth podium in six races under his belt, the cancellation of Wednesday's Diegem Superprestige race now gives Pidcock some extra recovery and training days ahead of the resumption of his programme on New Year's Day in Baal.
After the race Pidcock said: "I didn’t win [today], Wout was too strong – but at least it wasn’t like yesterday – at least I could push a little bit. I felt pretty good. It’s probably the best I’ve felt at this track – physically and technically. For me it’s a hard track here, I’ve always found the roots quite tricky.
"Honestly I think Eli was stronger today. I had to tactically play it right to beat him. I just wasn’t explosive enough today, but it was better than yesterday so now we can build on this.
"Baal is my next race so I’ll take a rest and do some training."
Bicycle Retailer & Industry News posted this:
BIEL, Switzerland (BRAIN) — DT Swiss will acquire disc brake company Trickstuff. The acquisition is expected to be completed on Jan. 1.
Trickstuff — based in Pfaffenweiler, Germany — has established itself in the industry in the past two decades. Owner and industrial engineer Klaus Liedler will continue in the role of managing director.
DT Swiss said Trickstuff will operate as an independent company with its own brand identity, marketing, and product strategy. Trickstuff primarily will benefit from DT Swiss' knowledge in business model development, IT infrastructure integration, supply-chain management, production optimization, and industrialization within the scope of joint cooperation and integration projects.
The joint cooperation in cross-company project teams began this month in the area of ERP system integration.
