Sirotti caught a few riders before the start. Here's race leader Fabian Cancellara.
World road champion Alessandro Ballan.
Cadel Evans remains well placed, within a second of the contenders.
Here they come. The light blue jersey is Gerald Ciolek of Milram. To his right is Tom Boonen and on his left is Liquigas' Fabio Sabatini.
Roger Hammond (Cervelo) has moved up as has Andre Greipel (Columbia).
The sprint turned out to be a race bewteen Ciolek and Sabatini as they both throw their bikes.
